HARMAN Professional Solutions Unveils Flyable Subwoofers and Expanded Accessories for JBL SRX900 Series
In a groundbreaking move, HARMAN Professional Solutions, the global leader in audio, video, control, and lighting systems, has announced the addition of two flyable subwoofers to its acclaimed JBL Professional SRX900 Series. The new 15-inch (SRX915) and 18-inch (SRX918) models are designed to be flown and seamlessly integrated with existing SRX900 line arrays and rigging accessories, offering unparalleled versatility for venues where floor space is at a premium.
These subwoofers leverage JBL Professional’s flagship technologies, featuring dual voice coil, Differential drive woofers that deliver superior heat dissipation, reduced power compression, and an extended dynamic range.A large low-frequency port design enhances airflow while minimizing audible turbulence, and the reinforced 18 mm birch plywood cabinet ensures exceptional durability. Both models share the same amplifier module as the existing SRX900 subwoofers, providing a plug-and-play experience that’s both powerful and user-pleasant.
To complement the new subwoofers, HARMAN has introduced a range of accessories that enhance system configuration and transportation. These include vertical transport carts capable of stacking and moving up to three subwoofers, matching covers, and a simplified pole mount accessory for cost-effective pole-mounting of SRX906LA products.
The hardware upgrades are accompanied by significant firmware and software updates. A new version of the Performance application now supports flown subwoofer arrays, introduces a much-requested daylight mode, and allows users to store venue files directly on their devices. Additionally, the latest update to Venue Synthesis brings new features, including support for the SRX900 flyable subwoofers, additional signal types for SPL mapping, new drawing tools, and expanded venue import format support.
George Georgallis, Senior Director of Product Management, Tour Sound at HARMAN Professional Solutions, emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation: “A few years ago, the SRX900 Series was introduced to provide JBL Professional flagship touring performance and system integration into a modular system that can be scaled according to needs and budget.
