Kathleen M. Fisher: A financial Leader with a Passion for Healthcare
Kathleen M. Fisher, a 44-year veteran of Wall Street, joins the Dartmouth Health board. Fisher’s illustrious career includes roles as chief investment officer of AllianceBernstein’s private client business and managing director at JP Morgan.As retiring in 2020,she has focused on healthcare advocacy,serving as chair of Southwestern Vermont Health Care from 2021 to 2024. Fisher’s extensive nonprofit experience includes leadership roles with Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home and the Aloha Foundation.
Jason T. Garbarino: A Nursing Innovator
Jason T.Garbarino, a nurse leader and educator, brings a unique outlook to the Dartmouth-Hitchcock boards. With over a decade at the University of Vermont (UVM), Garbarino co-developed the clinical nurse leader program, earning the prestigious Kroepsch-Maurice Excellence in Teaching Award. As healthcare talent director at inSpring, he focuses on creating academic-practice pipelines for international nursing students. Garbarino is also the executive director of the Nursing is STEM coalition,advocating for nursing’s recognition as a STEM field.
Laurel J. Richie: A Trailblazer in Leadership
Laurel J. Richie, former president of the WNBA, is renowned for her transformative leadership. During her tenure, Richie’s “Path to Profitability” initiative considerably boosted the league’s operating income. A recipient of BET’s Black Girls Rock shot caller Award and Sports Business Journal’s Game changer Award, Richie is a champion of diversity and inclusion. She currently serves on the boards of Synchrony Financial, Hasbro, and Radiant Horizons, among others.
Emily P. Zeitler: A Pioneer in Cardiology
Emily P. Zeitler, a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist at DHMC, joins the Dartmouth-Hitchcock boards with a focus on cardiovascular outcomes and health policy.Her research addresses disparities in implantable medical devices and atrial fibrillation. Zeitler collaborates with the U.S. Food and Drug Management and other regulatory bodies,ensuring equitable healthcare policies. She is also an associate professor at Dartmouth’s geisel School of Medicine and The Dartmouth Institute (TDI).
