In a shocking turn of events, Rohmad Tri Hartanto, also known as Antok (33), has been implicated in the brutal murder and mutilation of Uswatun Khasanah (29). The case,which has sent ripples across East Java,began with a seemingly innocent meeting at the Gayatri Tulungagung Terminal on Sunday,January 19,2025.
According to Senior Commissioner Pol Farman, Director of the East Java Regional Police Directorate of Criminal Investigation, the suspect could face the death penalty under article 340 of the Criminal Code, with subsidiary charges under Article 338, Article 351 paragraph 3, and Article 365 paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code.
The tragic sequence of events unfolded when Antok invited Uswatun to a hotel in Kediri, East Java. what began as a dispute escalated into a violent altercation, culminating in the victim being strangled to death. “His confession was a dispute and the victim was strangled by the suspect so he died,” farman explained on Monday, January 27, 2025, as reported by TribunJatim.com.
In a chilling twist, Antok resorted to mutilating Uswatun’s body into four parts when it didn’t fit into a suitcase. ”After the victim died, the suspect began to be confused and thought to get rid of the corpse of the victim,” Farman added. “The trick, prepare a suitcase. The motive behind this heinous crime appears to stem from a love affair gone wrong.Antok claimed to have been in a siri marriage with Uswatun, a widow with two children, while still legally married to another woman with whom he has two children.Their affair had lasted for three years before it turned deadly.
