Riga’s Hall of Tallinas Street Quarter Unveils Exciting 2025 Concert Season
Riga’s cultural scene is set to ignite with the launch of the 2025 concert season at the Hall of Tallinas Street Quarter.Kicking off on February 8,the season promises a vibrant mix of performances,from nostalgic Latvian dance music to modern choice rock,ensuring something for every music lover.
The season opens with the return of the popular “Minifestival” series, hosted by the “hangar” concert hall. This year’s lineup includes the alternative rock bands “Purple Negative” and “Sorrow Brothers”, setting the tone for a season packed with diverse genres. The “Minifestival” concept, which pairs two performers for one evening, has become a hallmark of the venue. As described by organizers, “The atmospheric experience of the festivals is made up of musicians’ performances in the concert hall, and right next to the ‘hangar’ main hall, the recreational area with the offer of Street Food kitchen and bar. As usual, the DJs take care of the evening after the concerts at minifestivs, providing a real program closer to the festival.”
Throughout the season, audiences can look forward to themed minifestivals, including a nostalgia minifestival featuring Latvian dance music legends “Transit” and “A-Europa”, a city minifestival with “Time Dog” and “Satellites LV”, and a female daily minifestival showcasing “Little Prince” and “Chips and Dullis”.
In addition to the minifestivals, the season will feature solo concerts by renowned artists. On February 14, Shipsea, led by John Schipkevitz, will perform a special love festival concert, while guitar virtuosos Gints Smukais and San Ethan Keiss will take the stage on February 19.
