ROMA – Milan have lodged an appeal with the Regional Administrative Court against the postponement of the match against Bologna. This is the match scheduled at the Dall’Ara on October 26th and suspended by an order from the mayor of Bologna Matteo Lepore. Those were the days of the flood that hit Emilia Romagna. A tragedy that had affected the whole country but which had not prevented matches in other categories from being played, albeit behind closed doors. Exactly what the Lega Serie A and Milan were asking for.

Now the Rossoneri club has decided to appeal the decision of the mayor of Bologna to the Regional Administrative Court: the appeal filed requests the annulment and verification of the illegitimacy of the ordinance. The end? Obviously no one will be able to go back and actually play the match on those dates. But the action aims to ensure that Lepore’s decision is declared illegitimate to prevent similar cases from recurring in the future. In fact, he wants to erase the precedent. For this reason, Lega Serie A will also file a similar appeal, albeit separate from the Rossoneri club.

In fact, the calendar does not offer much margin to make up matches. Suffice it to say that Bologna-Milan could slip to February, i.e. 4 months after the initial date. Provided that conditions allow it: the possible participation of one of the two teams in the Champions League playoffs (scheduled for 11 and 18 February, two of the possible dates) would further complicate the plans.
