Assiut Launches First Hospital and River Ambulance to Serve Remote Areas in Upper Egypt

This innovative initiative, spearheaded by Major General Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Governor of Assiut, aims to strengthen health services and provide rapid rescue operations in⁤ remote areas along ‌the Nile River.

The ⁢ hospital, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, includes an intensive care room and ‌a small ⁣operating room. This setup enables it to reach citizens in villages and islands located‍ along the Nile,⁢ ensuring‌ timely medical intervention. “This service‌ allows rapid intervention in river accidents, such ​as accidents on ‌tourist ⁤boats or ferries that citizens use⁣ to move between islands and beaches,” explained Major‍ General Hisham Abu Al-Nasr.
