For the ninth consecutive year, the Look Good Feel Better Foundation is bringing joy and confidence to individuals battling cancer through it’s national campaign, Give a Smile Gift. Running throughout February 2025, this initiative aims to provide free relaxation treatments to those undergoing cancer treatment, emphasizing the importance of external care in boosting self-confidence and energy.
Why External Care Matters
Cancer treatments often take a toll not just on the body but also on the mind. physical changes can lead to feelings of insecurity and low self-esteem. As the Look Good Feel Better Foundation highlights, “Positive attention for your body gives renewed self-confidence and new energy.” This campaign is a reminder that self-care is not just a luxury—it’s a necessity.Sabina, a participant in the program, shared her experience: “The pampering moment made all the difference. A Nationwide Effort
From February 4, World Cancer Day, beauticians across the country will offer free relaxation treatments to cancer patients. One notable participant is Chrid’Or Esthétique, a recognized Medikal Skincare Specialist. Their expertise allows them to cater to individuals with vulnerable skin due to medical treatments, psoriasis, or eczema.
“People with cancer often become insecure due to the external changes resulting from the treatments,” says a representative from Chrid’Or Esthétique. “The great thing about this moment of relaxation is that you see your confidence grow during the treatment. Sometimes a few tips are enough to make them shine again.”
During February, Chrid’Or Esthétique will provide free relaxation sessions to five individuals. Appointments can be made directly through their website, but spots are limited—so early booking is encouraged.
