Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Gets One UI 7 Beta 3 in Germany
Samsung has begun rolling out the third public beta version of it’s highly anticipated One UI 7, built on the Android 15 operating system, to owners of the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra in Germany. This latest update is expected to reach other participating regions in the coming days.
This notable update brings with it the January 2025 security patch, a crucial element for maintaining device security.Beyond security enhancements, Beta 3 addresses a number of user-reported issues. According to Samsung, improvements include smoother vertical scrolling within the app drawer, a fix for MMS image saving problems in the Messages app, and enhanced responsiveness of the Rapid Panel.
Further refinements target the user interface, addressing alignment issues on the lock screen, Always On Display, status bar battery icon, and notification icons. The lock screen editing functions have also been optimized for a smoother experience. Additionally, the update resolves issues with the volume key in Routine+, fixes problems with Edge Panels, and adjusts the default maximum frames per second in Game Booster to 120 Hz. ”The closing of the Quick Panel is now more responsive,” a Samsung spokesperson confirmed.
The update is identified by build numbers S921BXXU4ZXLJ (Galaxy S24), S926BXXU4ZXLJ (Galaxy S24+), and S928BXXU4ZXLJ (Galaxy S24 Ultra). German users enrolled in the beta programme who haven’t received the notification can manually check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software Update.
