Following the inspection,the agency allowed the reopening of the establishments,contingent upon the implementation of corrective measures outlined in the audit reports. “This allows the company to implement the corrective measures described in the audit reports,” explained a representative from Agasa, a relevant agency involved in the oversight. “Non-compliance led to these closures,” the representative added, emphasizing the seriousness of the violations.
As a condition of reopening, the establishments were required to surrender and destroy all sealed products deemed unsafe.The change also coincided with a shift in leadership at the Gabonese food security agency. Dr.Jean Delors Biyogué Bi Ntoungou replaced Anatole Kabounou Onkoni as director.
