The most recent incident involved Garrison and Skylar Beach, whose vehicle careened into a ravine after swerving to avoid a large piece of metal in the road. “Just of where we hit the guard rail, if we would have like, went over, just a little bit over, we could have, the cables probably could have came right through the windshield which is really scary to think about because that could have just went right through us,” Skylar Beach recounted to local news station WOWT.
The couple, traveling at speeds between 50 and 60 mph, where lucky to escape with minor injuries. Their harrowing experience, however,is far from unique. According to WOWT, at least four similar accidents have occurred in the past month, each involving objects like furniture and even a bicycle strategically placed in the middle of the highway, always under the cover of darkness.

Adding to the mystery is the consistent presence of a witness at each accident scene.Skylar Beach described the unsettling experience of finding a man already present when she and her husband emerged from their wrecked vehicle. “He was right there as soon as we got out of the car. It was just very odd and as our car was down in the ravine, no one would have been able to know we were down there. So it was just very odd of how quickly he showed up and as if he watched the whole thing happen,” she explained.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with details to come forward. The unusual nature of thes incidents has sparked speculation and concern throughout the community, highlighting the need for increased vigilance and caution on Highway 36.
