“Thank you! I’m thrilled to be joining the Indiana Fever as the Player Progress Coach.This role is all about fostering growth and development among our players, both on and off the court. What excites me most is the opportunity to work with Head Coach Stephanie White and the talented roster we have. I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with Coach White before, and I know her vision aligns perfectly with my own—to create an environment where players can thrive and reach their full potential.”
You’ve had a remarkable career, including your time with the Connecticut Sun. How do you think your experience there will translate to your work with the Fever?
“My time with the Connecticut Sun was incredibly rewarding. I had the chance to work with some of the league’s top players, like alyssa Thomas and DeWanna Bonner, and help them refine their skills and elevate their performance. Seeing Alyssa earn a spot on the All-WNBA First Team and Dijonai Carrington named the WNBA Most Improved Player was a testament to the power of focused development. I plan to bring those same principles to the Fever—identifying each player’s strengths,addressing areas for growth,and creating personalized plans to help them excel.”
Your international coaching experience,notably with the Kosovo Heritage Basketball Academy,adds a unique dimension to your background. how does that influence your coaching philosophy?
“absolutely. Coaching at the Kosovo Heritage Basketball Academy has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my career.It’s a program that impacts over 400 players annually, and it’s taught me the importance of blending global perspectives with proven strategies. Basketball is a global language, and I’ve seen firsthand how different cultures approach the game. This experience has shaped my ability to adapt my coaching style to meet the needs of diverse players, whether they’re coming from a collegiate background or a professional one.”
You’ve had an impressive playing career, including stints in Spain and Puerto Rico. How has your time as a player informed your coaching approach?
“My playing career has been a cornerstone of my coaching journey. I started at the University of Connecticut Avery Point, where I had the honor of leading the nation in scoring and earning All-American honors. Later, playing professionally in Spain and Puerto Rico gave me a deep appreciation for the technical and tactical aspects of the game. As a coach, I draw on those experiences to connect with players on a personal level. I understand the challenges they face, the sacrifices they make, and the passion they bring to the game. It’s this empathy that allows me to guide them effectively.”
