Suzuki Indonesia experienced a remarkable surge in sales during the 2024 Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW), exceeding their target by a staggering 203%. The automaker sold an impressive 1,562 units, marking a two-fold increase compared to the previous year.
Driving this success were Suzuki’s popular models, the New XL7 and New Carry, which accounted for 37% and 20% of total sales respectively. “These two cars are Suzuki’s best-selling products as their respective advantages are able to meet customer needs and expectations,” the company stated.
The stylish Baleno also contributed significantly, capturing 19% of the sales. Other new Suzuki models showcased at the event also saw strong interest from attendees.
A highlight of GJAW 2024 was the debut of the Suzuki Jimny 5-door White Rhino,which was crowned the “Favorite Car” by exhibition organizers. ”jimny reflects the growing market confidence in Suzuki products,” said Randy Murdoko, Dept. head of 4W Sales at PT Suzuki indomobil Sales (PT SIS). “on the positive side, the image of other models has also been boosted and recognized by more automotive enthusiasts.”
