Hong Kong football sensation Wu Yuxi made history on Thursday, becoming the first Hong Kong player in 22 years to score in a club-level tournament in Japan. The 18-year-old prodigy achieved this feat while playing for Oriental Dragons against Sanfrecce Hiroshima in the AFC Champions League Second Division.

After playing 120 minutes in the recent FA Cup, where Oriental emerged victorious in Sham Shui Po, Yu Xi was only brought into the silver medal final against Lee & Man in the 98th minute. Looking ahead to the new year, his aspirations are clear: “I want to be a regular player and then help the club bring the championship!”
