Mountain Top residents are celebrating the arrival of a new internet service provider promising lightning-fast speeds and reliable connectivity. Loop, a locally owned and operated company, has officially launched its fiber internet service in the region, bringing a much-needed upgrade to the areaS digital infrastructure.
Loop’s expansion will blanket Rice, Wright, and Fairview townships, and also Nuangola Borough, with high-speed internet access.Portions of Dorrance and Slocum townships will also benefit from the rollout. This move is seen as a major win for Mountain Top, notably for residential areas and industrial parks that have long struggled with inadequate internet service.
“This project is deeply personal to me,” saeid Chris Hacken, founder and CEO of Loop. “Having grown up here in Mountain Top,it’s an honor to bring the kind of connectivity our community has been waiting for. We’re building a network that not only meets today’s needs but will continue to grow with the demands of tomorrow.”
Loop’s investment in Mountain Top represents millions of dollars poured back into the local economy, underscoring the company’s commitment to Northeast Pennsylvania. This expansion builds on Loop’s existing presence in Wilkes-Barre and Scranton, with Hacken hinting at further growth on the horizon.
“Right now we are in Wilkes-Barre and Scranton and Mountain Top, but there is more on the way,” Hacken said.
Loop’s fiber network is designed with scalability in mind, allowing for future upgrades and expansions as demand increases. Jason Wasmanski, Loop’s general manager, emphasized the efficiency of fiber internet compared to older technologies.
“We understand that patience is key during this rollout,” wasmanski said. “It will take a couple of months to reach every part of Mountain Top, but we’re committed to completing the project as quickly as possible without compromising quality. We thank the residents for their understanding and enthusiasm as we work to bring fiber to their doorsteps.”
The arrival of Loop’s fiber internet service is expected to have a notable positive impact on Mountain Top, boosting economic growth, improving educational opportunities, and enhancing the overall quality of life for residents.
