Novak Djokovic says how he feels about Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz heading into the 2025 season

Djokovic Eyes 2025 Comeback, Setting Sights on Alcaraz and Sinner

After a year marked by both triumphs and setbacks, Novak Djokovic is laser-focused on reclaiming his dominance in men’s tennis. Following a dominant Olympic gold medal performance but losses to Carlos Alcaraz in a second consecutive Wimbledon final and both of his encounters with Jannik Sinner, Djokovic knows he’s got work to do.

"I’m feeling inspired again to go out on the courts and motivated. I’m doing my best to prepare myself in the best possible way," Djokovic shared with Bein Sports. "I have more time than usual, we have kind of a very short offseason but this time I ended my season quite early so I had time to rest and recover. To be prepared at the highest level again is what I’m aiming for."

Djokovic’s renewed commitment is underscored by a surprising move, bringing former rival Andy Murray on board as a coach. This partnership, set to last until at least the Australian Open, signifies Djokovic’s intention to tap into Murray’s insights and experience.

"We connected really fast and he accepted after a few days. I couldn’t be more excited about it," Djokovic said of the collaboration with Murray.

While acknowledging the rising dominance of Alcaraz and Sinner, Djokovic remains confident. "Obviously, Sinner and Alcaraz are leading the way, but I feel like when I’m prepared, when I’m at the top of my game, I can challenge them, and I look forward to seeing how far I can go next year. It should be exciting. Obviously always prioritize the Slams, and we’ll see how it goes.”

The tennis world awaits to witness Djokovic’s return, anticipating a thrilling 2025 season where the veteran player will undoubtedly be a force to be reckoned with.
