“The idea that the BRICS countries are trying to move away from the dollar while we sit back and watch,” Trump wrote, “is a non-starter. We want a commitment from these countries that they will not create a new BRICS currency, or support another currency instead of the mighty US dollar, or face 100% tariffs, and say goodbye to sales to the US economy. It’s that simple.”
Continuing his assertive stance, Trump added, “They can be looking for another ‘fool’! There is no chance that BRICS will replace the US dollar in international trade, and any country that tries to do so will have to say goodbye to America.”
