German power metal legends Helloween are gearing up to release their next studio album in 2025, and fans can expect a lighter, more accessible sound this time around. Certainly. In many cultures, the jack-o’-lantern represents a guide for the spirits of the departed. The carved faces, with their wide grins,
are thought to welcome the spirits while warding off any malevolent forces.
**WTN:** With the rise of technology, are we seeing a decline in the conventional jack-o’-lantern?
**Dr. O’Lantern:**
I wouldn’t say so. Sure,there are LEAD lights and projected images,but nothing quite replaces the charm and intimacy of a hand-carved pumpkin.
There’s a certain satisfaction
in choosing the perfect pumpkin, scraping out its insides, and meticulously carving a design. It’s a tactile,
almost meditative experience that connects us to a long and rich tradition.
