Shocking footage has emerged showing construction workers on a major housing project in Hong Kong tossing debris from significant heights, raising serious safety concerns.

“The Department will not tolerate the bad practices of the main contractor disposing of construction waste from high places,” a spokesperson stated.

"The main contractor required each subcontractor to temporarily store waste on each floor of the building in designated units…throwing waste from a height," explained a Housing Authority representative.

“Punish the individuals and entities involved, and ensure that such a thing does not happen again," the Association demanded in a statement.
"There have been many cases in Hong Kong in the past where objects have fallen from heights on construction sites, resulting in injury or even death. Throwing objects from great heights endangers the safety of others and must be punished accordingly."
