François Durovray, the Minister in charge of Transport, brought together on Friday November 29, 2024 the Monitoring Committee for the railway services of the territorial balance railway line Paris – Orléans – Limoges – Toulouse (TET) in Limoges.
This group is organized annually by the Ministry of Transport, the organizing authority for TETs, and brings together all local and national elected officials, user associations, and representatives from the economic world of the Center’s areas. the more this line serves.
This meeting was an opportunity to share with all stakeholders in the sector and the line:
- Results of the past year in terms of consistency, including the implementation of specific measures to avoid delays and ensure better management if necessary, and to provide adequate information to passengers.
- Major investments in the renewal and modernization of the line (1.9 billion euros over 2018 – 2027).
- Presentation of the special arrangements adopted for the border balancing train service for the rehabilitation of the section located between Boisseaux and Les Aubrais, planned from the end of August 2025 to the end of January 2026, with a window line will close during the day. between 9:30 am and 5:30 pm, resulting in the cancellation of 3 TET round trips per day. These records make it possible to limit the impact of the work (including products). The State and the SNCF have been able to maintain direct relations with Paris, including the towns of Brive and Cahors. The composition of these trains will be reinforced to limit inconvenience to users.
- Terms of use of Oxygène’s new rolling stock, and the associated maintenance facilities (for 400 million euros). The gradual entry into service on the line is planned from late spring 2027. The State and the SNCF remain very vigilant to ensure that the new delivery schedule is maintained and improve, while waiting for the arrival of the trains, the quality of service. An action plan to strengthen operations, having already produced results (5-minute consistency of almost 83% at the end of September 2024, an increase of almost 8 points compared to 2023), is being implemented and presented at the meeting.
