MAX Christmas Concert Brings Festive Sounds to Town

Celebrate this Christmas with Christmas music! On Christmas Day, MAX organizes – as usual – the MAX Christmas concert. Carrie ten Napel and Jan Slagter present a mixed musical program. Enjoy performances by artists such as Anita Meyer, Paul de Leeuw, Marco Schuitmaker and Nuralila Karim. They are joined by the European Pop Orchestra and the ZO! The Gospel Choir. As soon as King Willem-Alexander utters his last words, the first sounds of the MAX Christmas concert will be heard. Wednesday, December 25 at 1:20 pm at MAX on NPO 1.

The MAX Christmas Concert has a multi-genre lineup. This is how Yvon Kanters is on stage. In her daily life she sings with and for elderly people with dementia. On stage in Studio 21 she plays the celebrity The Town by Wim Sonneveld. Paul de Leeuw brings it Dance With Me musical tribute to the deceased skating figures Sjoukje Dijkstra and Joan Haanappel, Marco Schuitmaker performs an acoustic version of his hit guardian angel out and the nuns from the Musical Sister Act move with April Darby.

Of course there are plenty of Christmas songs on the program as well. This is how Anita Meyer hits the classic It’s a cold, cold Christmas sensitive chord, Martijn Fischer plays the André Hazes classic A lonely ChristmasYour shine with her performance of Merry Christmas to You and there are beautiful gospels by Trijntje Oosterhuis, Dwight Dissels and Shirma Rouse. In addition, Jan Keizer, who has regained her singing taste, Ancora and Nuralila Karim are also on the attractive stage.

The concert will be accompanied by The European Pop Orchestra led by conductor Guido Dieteren, also known as ‘The Maestro’. And also SO! The Gospel Choir shines like never before.
