If you make it to the end of 7 vs. Wild, you have to expect some serious weight loss. The participants of the 4th season also proved this.
Apart from rose hips and roots – and a single bumblebee – no food could be found at the 7 vs. Wild location. Even an experienced survival professional like Joe Vogel had to become inventive in an emergency. After all, Fritz Meinecke’s suitcases always delivered food for the group. But even with dog food, a bar of chocolate and peanuts, the hunger couldn’t be stopped for many days. The before and after weight shows how much the participants’ bodies were depleted of their own reserves.

When it comes to weight loss, no one has lost as much weight as Joe Vogel. The survival YouTuber was out and about every day to put the group in the best possible situation. The energy consumption required for this is reflected in the 8 kilograms that he lost during this time. Something similar can be seen with Flying Uwe, who traveled long distances to search for his suitcase. Knossi recently demonstrated the drastic effect such a 14-day extreme situation has on the body with his first sign of life after Mission Unknown.

What about Joey’s weight? Episode 16 of Season 4 does not provide an answer to this. There may be a resolution to this in the Behind The Scenes for collection. In the same format, Joey Kelly’s starting weight of 93 kilograms was seen. However, it is difficult to imagine that he has broken the previous weight loss record. Back then, one participant lost a whopping 16 kilograms at 7 vs. Wild.
