After more than a decade, the giant American children’s channel Disney Channel has decided to stop broadcasting its signal in one of the European countries where it has the longest history and where it has a large audience: Spain.
The renowned television network has decided to say goodbye to the European country after 27 years of history, closing an era in which several generations were able to enjoy series and programs such as ‘Hannah Montana’, ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’, ‘Zack and Cody’, ‘Phineas and Ferb’ and ‘Gravity Falls’.
Disney Channel will end its broadcast in Spain next January 7, 2025after the celebration of Three Kings Day, a decision that was confirmed Walt Disney Company a Vertele.
The reason for the closure is that the television giant seeks to get the public that still tunes in to the channel to go to the Disney+ platform, which is where users will be able to find all the content.
