Kiril Despodov opened the scoring for PAOK in Latvia [Intime].
Two wins and one draw, with no goals scored in three games, was a good result for Greek teams on Thursday night in Europe, as PAOK and Panathinaikos won while Olympakos drew in Bucharest.
In its fifth match for the Europa League league stage, Olympiakos shared a goalless draw with host Steaua in Bucharest.
The Reds were the better team overall, but they could not translate their numerical advantage from the 67th minute, due to the second yellow card shown to Daniel Birligea, into a goal.
On December 12 Olympiakos will host Twente for their next European match, having collected eight points from five games.
In Latvia PAOK beat the host Rigas FS 2-0 for their first win in the league level of the same competition.
The Greek champion led from the second minute with Kiril Despodov, and doubled the lead just before the hour mark thanks to Fedor Chalov.
The result has taken PAOK to four points from five games. Next he will play Ferencvaros in Thessaloniki.
Panathinaikos also got its first win, but in the Conference League, beating Helsinki 1-0 in Athens.
The Greens were unfortunate to miss several chances to score, but were fortunate to see the deadlock broken through a Joona Toivio own goal in the 33rd minute.
This means that Panathinaikos now have four points in as many games, and on December 12th they face New Saints away.
