The difference between the first two parties, New Democracy and PaSoK, is consolidating in single-digit percentages, as demonstrated by the new poll conducted by Metron Analysis on behalf of MEGA.
At the same time, the survey records “low flights” for the new party of Stefanos Kasselakis, “Democracy Movement”, as it gathers a percentage of 2.3% in the vote estimate.
The vote estimate
More specifically, in the vote estimate, New Democracy remains firmly in first place with 28.2%, while PaSoK follows with 18.8%. In third place is the Hellenic Solution with 10.1%, while the KKE follows with 10.0%. SYRIZA has now slipped to fifth place with 7.1%, followed by the Voice of Reason (5.6%), Freedom Sailing (4.8%), and NIKI (3.5%). The New Left is at 3%, while the Democracy Movement of Stefanos Kasselakis is quite low, at 2.3%.
The most suitable prime minister is “nobody”
When it comes to suitability for the prime ministership, the most popular answer is “no one” with 34%. Next is Kyriakos Mitsotakis with 30%, while far behind is Nikos Androulakis with 8%.
Accuracy and Economy the most important problems
When it comes to the prioritization of problems by citizens, accuracy remains by far the most popular answer, with 41%, while the economy comes second with 26%. Followed by Foreign Policy, Institutional Crisis and Unemployment, all with 4%.
At the same time, citizens evaluate the government largely negatively, as 66% respond that they have an overall negative opinion of the government’s work, with 26% responding that they have a positive opinion, while 7% respond that they have neither a positive nor a negative opinion .
The evaluation of the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, by the citizens moves along the same wavelength, with 65% answering that they have a negative opinion, while 29% evaluate him positively and 5% neither positively nor negatively.
The most popular political leader is Sokratis Famellos
Sokratis Famellos, who is also the most “fresh” political leader, as he has been at the helm of SYRIZA for less than a week, is the one who gathers the most positive opinions among the respondents, with 47%, followed by Nikos Androulakis with 43%, while in third place is Dimitris Koutsoubas with 41%. Fourth is Kyriakos Mitsotakis with 37%.
Pessimism about Greek-Turkish relations
At the same time, citizens express pessimism regarding Greek-Turkish relations, as 54% predict that they will worsen in the next period, while only 33% believe in their improvement.
At the same time, citizens want a continuation of the dialogue on all the issues raised by both sides, at a percentage of 51%, while 26% want the continuation of the dialogue only on the issues raised by the Greek side. Finally, there is also 21% who consider that there is no room for dialogue between the two countries.
