‘Regional Specialized Development Zone’ is an area where regulatory special cases necessary for local governments are permitted among the 129 regulatory special cases listed in the Regional Special Zone Act. It was introduced in 2004 and is currently in operation in 176 cities, counties and districts across the country.
The three regional specialized development zones designated this time will be announced in December and will be fully operational starting in January of next year.
