The former president of the District Court – Burgas, Rositsa Temelkova, and district judges Kalina Peneva and Kremena Lazarova, officially entered the Court of Appeal – Burgas.
They were promoted by a decision of the Judicial College of the Supreme Judicial Council under pr. №42/12.11.2024, after a competition for “judge” positions in the appellate courts – civil division.
The new judges signed their oaths of office in a brief ceremony at the court. They were greeted by the administrative head of the institution – judge Plamen Sinkov and by their fellow magistrates. On behalf of everyone, Judge Sinkov wished them health, peaceful and successful work in the Court of Appeals – Burgas and to enjoy good relations in the team.
All three ladies graduated in “law” at the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and hold the highest rank in the judicial system – “judge of the Supreme Court and Supreme Court of Appeal”.
Judge Rositsa Temelkova has over 34 years of legal experience. She was a judge – executor in the SIS at the District Court – Nessebar. Since 1992 is a judge in the District Court – Burgas. He has been working in the District Court – Burgas since 1998, and since 2009. is the institution’s vice president.
Performs temporarily the functions of administrative head in the period 04.10.2017. – 02/01/2018 She was elected president of the District Court – Burgas in February 2018. and in July 2023.
For more than 30 years, Kalina Peneva has worked in the service of law and judge. He started as a trainee judge in the Sofia City Court. She was a junior judge in the District Court – Burgas. Since 1997 was appointed to the District Court – Burgas, and for a certain period she was also the deputy chairman of this body of judicial power. For 23 years, he developed professionally in the Burgas District Court.
The total legal experience of Judge Kremena Lazarova is over 31 years. The magistrate administered justice in the Regional Court – Aytos and the Regional Court – Burgas.
By decision of the SJC from 2001. was appointed to a position in the District Court – Burgas, where she worked until the time of her entry into the appellate instance. Judge Lazarova was a lecturer in European law at the National Institute of Justice in 2003. – 2008
The new judges will work in the civil department of the Court of Appeal – Burgas.
