/ world today news/ For the 16th time in a row, residents of Sofia and guests of Sofia will welcome the New Year at “Knyaz Alexander Batemberg” square with the festive concert-performance “Stage under the stars”.
Organizers of the event this year are BNT and Sofia Municipality. The concert will welcome 2015. from the citizens of Sofia, the guests of the capital and – through the cameras of the state media, from all Bulgarians who are watching this television at this moment in the country and abroad.
Hosts of the holiday show will be Maria Andonova and actor Stefan Shterev. Performers from all genres will take the stage – Margarita Hranova, Lyubo Kirov, Stefan Valdobrev with his band “The Usual Suspects”, Kalin Velov with his band “Tumbaito” and many other performers.
The young Konstantin Belchev will also perform his songs in front of the people gathered in the square. Just a month ago, he presented his first album “Overdose of Love”. The singer Desislava will sing folk music, the brass band “Karandila” and the ensemble “Chinari” will be on stage. Dance performances will be from “Veda Junior” ballet.
The New Year’s concert starts at 10 p.m. and will continue past midnight. It will be broadcast live on BNT 1 and BNT Svyat.
