Charlotte.- The Carolina Migrant Network organization will hold a workshop on immigrant rights in Charlotte.
The workshop is presented as a resource for immigrants who may face complications due to their immigration status in the United States.
The initiative seeks to provide tools for possible arrests by security agencies such as Police Departments, Sheriffs or even ICE.
Thus, people who receive a deportation order or have an encounter with immigration authorities will be able to know what to do in this scenario.
Help for immigrants
Carolina Migrant Network offers support to migrant populations in the Charlotte area with legal resources for people who need it.
Founded in 2017 by Stefania Arteaga and Beca O’Neill in 2017, during the first year of Donald Trump’s administration, it helps people affected by deportation proceedings.
Currently, their services include low-cost legal services, a network of lawyers and volunteers throughout the country, and community work.
The workshop on immigrant rights is also promoted by organizations such as Hispanic Federation, Our Bridge for Kids, the Latin American Coalition, Charlotte is Home Center, Charlotte Gaymers Network, Circle de Luz y Despierta, among others.
