Italy prepares to face radical change weather report in the coming days. From Friday November 29, a distant icy air mass Russian origins will lead to a drop in temperatures across the entire territory, marking a drastic shift to typically winter conditions. Currently, the Northern Italy and certain areas of Central Italy experience an autumnal climate, with temperatures consistent with those of the season and often overcast skies.
On the other hand, the Southern Italy and the Major Islandsnamely the Sicily and the Sardiniaexperience an almost spring-like climate, with temperatures above 20°C in certain localities and significant sunshine.
This strong thermal difference between the northern and southern zones is destined to disappear in the 24 hours. from Friday November 29the arrival of a cold air mass of Russia will cause a drastic drop in temperatures, particularly in the Central Italy and the Southern Italywith decreases of up to 10°C compared to current values.
This change will be accompanied by the formation of a cyclonic vortex, which will further worsen the conditions weather report. The temperatures will fall below seasonal averageswith an atmosphere that will also be more rigid due to vents glacials which will accentuate the perception of cold.
During the night hours, especially in areas with clear skies, widespread frosts are expected, with thermal values below zero even in some plains. The major impact will be felt in the Central Italy and the Southern Italywhere the thermal drop will be significant.
Temperatures, which are currently reaching values above average, could drop to 5°C or even 0°C in some inland areas, while coastal areas will see a marked decrease compared to previous days. The cold winds coming from the east will help to create an even more intense feeling ofcold, especially in the most exposed regions like the Puglia, the Calabria and the east of Sicily.
Even at theextreme south and in Sardiniadespite the more favorable geographical position, we will feel a distinctly wintry perception compared to the mildness which characterized a large part of the month of November. In the Northern Italynighttime temperatures could drop drastically, causing widespread frosts, particularly in lowland areas such as the Po plain.
The conditions weather report will nevertheless be characterized by clearer skies, but with a harsh climate.
The combination of intense cold and clear skies could result in minimum temperatures close to -5°C in the more inland hilly areas. This sudden climate change puts an end to the period of relative mildness that characterized much of the month of Novemberparticularly in the Southern Italy. The conditions weather report announce a decisive entry into winter, with the arrival of harsh temperatures and extreme phenomena, marking a significant turning point in the season.
