Universidad del Quindío begins an important event on diplomacy and international cooperation

Today, November 28, the University of Quindío inaugurates the event Public Diplomacy and International Cooperation for the Territories, which also includes the National Assembly of the Colombian Network for Internationalization. This meeting brings together national and international experts, with the participation of institutions such as the Ministry of Education, ICETEX, the Colombian Association of Universities, and ambassadors from the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Japan, among others.

The event has a diverse agenda of conferences, panels and working tables. In the morning, the Panel of International Governments stands out with the intervention of:

Félix Aracena Vargas, ambassador of the Dominican Republic in Colombia, economist and social manager.
Martha Patricia Ruíz Anchondo, ambassador of Mexico in Colombia, recognized for her political and social work.
Yasutaka Kogure, counselor at the Japanese Embassy in Colombia, expert in international relations.
Daniela Sierra Parra, program director of Fulbright Colombia.
Mehmet Can Gümü, deputy director of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).
Another central point is the conference The future of higher education, led by José Ramón Holguín Brito, rector and leader in higher education in the Caribbean and Latin America. In addition, the Vice Minister of Higher Education, Ricardo Moreno Patiño, presents Colombia’s Internationalization Policy.

The event, which will continue tomorrow, seeks to strengthen international cooperation and highlight the role of education as an engine of global development.
