In an alarming incident that occurred early this Thursday, an extortionist was seriously injured when he accidentally detonated a dynamite in the passage The Coconuts, in Independencia, a district that is in a state of emergency.

Security cameras captured the moment when the man walked through the passage with the device in his hands. According to the National Police of Peru (PNP), the explosive was dynamite, although the exact fate of the suspect is still unknown. Despite his injuries, he managed to reach his home, located approximately three blocks from the scene, where his relatives tried to take him to a hospital.
