The airport of Dallas Love Field has stood out for its innovative implementation of 3D holographic LED displaysa technology that redefines passenger-related processes. These displays not only capture attention with three-dimensional images, but also significantly improve the communication of key information to travelers, optimizing the airport experience.
For your part Toronto Pearson International Airport has been awarded for its use of artificial intelligence to optimize scale operations. This technological advance allows flight arrivals and departures to be managed more efficiently, reducing waiting times and improving punctuality. Thus Emanuele Calà, senior vice president of transformation and technology at Rome airport, has been recognized as the best leader in airport innovation. The Gerald R. Ford Airport in Michigan has also been awarded, standing out in the category for best innovation in small and emerging airports. Its initiative, the Ford Launchpad for Innovative Technologies and Entrepreneurship (FLITE), has created a space for the development and testing of new technologies, driving innovation in the airport industry and offering a model for other airports of similar size to follow.
ACI World CEO Justin Erbacci has underlined the importance of these technological innovations, highlighting how they are transforming the airline industry. According to Erbacci, these different solutions highlight “the fundamental role that technology plays in the transformation of our industry”, improving operational efficiency, creating seamless travel experiences and providing a competitive advantage.
