Russia will ban ten British ministers from entering the country –

Russia announced today that it will ban around ten British ministers from entering the country, portraying the decision as a response to London’s “Russophobic” policies.

Among those targeted are Finance Minister Rachel Reeves, Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner, Home Secretary Yvette Cooper and more than a dozen other senior Labor government officials.

Earlier today, in another move indicative of strained relations between the two countries, Moscow expelled a British diplomat, accusing him of espionage. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said, according to the TASS agency, that the ministry had summoned the British ambassador.

In response, the British Foreign Office denounced as “malicious and baseless” the accusations of espionage made by Russia against the British diplomat.

“This is not the first time that Russia has made malicious and baseless allegations against our personnel, we will respond in due course,” a Foreign Office spokesman said.
