How to recruit Minthara without betraying Grove in Baldur’s Gate 3 – Saudi Gamer

Baldur’s Gate 3 is an action-packed, story-filled RPG, where player choices shape a story of betrayal and friendship, survival and sacrifice, and the attraction of power.

Before Patch 5, players had to ally with Goblins and kill a group of innocent Tieflings living in the Emerald Grove if they wanted to add Minthara to their team. This seemed like too much of a price to pay alike. of killing.

Temporarily making Minthara hostile

If she becomes completely hostile, she will never join the team

Location: Inside the Goblin Camp
Chapter one

Minthara Baenre belongs to the Drow race, and at the beginning of the game he is a follower of The Absolute. She is characterized by a hostile character and a harsh attitude towards others. Minthara can first be encountered in Chapter 1, inside the Goblin Camp, where she plans to attack the Emerald Grove. While she is at camp, players must steal something or attack her without starting a conversation.

This will put him in a “Temporarily Hostile” state. When you start fighting with the team, remember to use non-lethal attacks when her HP drops to a low level to knock her unconscious instead of killing her. This way, when she gets hit, the game won’t consider her dead.

To recruit Minthara later, it is necessary to survive through the first chapter. So, it’s best to save the game (a couple of times) before facing him to make sure he stays in a “Temporary Hostile” state rather than being completely hostile.

Not killing her friends

She will not see them die or she will become completely hostile

Location: Inside the Goblin Camp
Chapter one

As soon as Minthara becomes temporarily hostile, it is important that she does not see the team kill any of her friends. If that happened, she would become completely hostile, so she could not be hired.

There are several goblins in the room with her, as well as a Scrying Eye.

It is very important to deal with them using only non-lethal damage while Minthara is still conscious. Additionally, remember that ranged attacks and spells can kill enemies even when non-lethal damage is applied, so focus on using melee attacks against goblins while Minthara fighting.

Access to Moonrise Towers

Players will have to wait until Chapter 2

Location: Moonrise Towers, at the southern tip of the Cursed Lands
Chapter Two

Although players meet Minthara in Chapter 1, they cannot ask her to join their team as a permanent companion until they reach Moonrise Towers in Chapter 2. This will likely happen several hours after the the fight against Minthara in the Goblin camp, because there is a lot of content in the first chapter.

Once players start Chapter 2, they must make their way to the southern part of the map to reach the Moonrise Towers.

There, they must pretend to be Absolutists and bring in Ketheric Thorm’s coin. Once inside, a cutscene will play where the Ketheric Thorm sentences Minthara to death for not retrieving the Secret Artifact.

Help Minthara escape

There are several ways to help her survive

Location: Moonrise Towers, southern part of the Cursed Lands
Chapter Two

When Minthara is led out of the main hall, players can choose to free her by starting a fight. This fight is very difficult, because all the cult members will be hostile. Even with Minthara joining the whole team to help in the fight, the conflict will not be easy.

To avoid the fight, players can go downstairs and talk to her in the Moonrise Towers Prison. This will activate the Decide Minthara’s Fate quest. If players can pass a skill check using one of the following skills: Intimidation, Deception, or Encouragement against the two guards present, they can leave Moonrise Towers without fighting .

In addition, players can choose to fight while trying to escape from the prison, allowing them to save dwarves and other prisoners at the same time.

Regardless of how Minthara escapes, she will later visit the player’s camp and ask to join their team as a companion. Although she may not be easy to deal with due to her personality, any player who develops a romantic relationship with her can learn that Minthara is suspicious of The Absolute and her actions.
