Cesar police recover 5,730 gallons of diesel during an operation in La Gloria

During surveillance activities on the Pozos Galán-Ayacucho pipeline, especially in the town of Punta Brava, the Cesar Police Department carried out an important procedure.

According to reports, the Directorate of Carabineros and Environmental Protection, with the support of the National Army and in coordination with the Aguachica Hydrocarbon Special Operations Group, managed to seize 5,730 gallons of diesel-type hydrocarbon, 12 dice-type plastic containers and 6 pimpinas-type plastic containers directly in the town of La Gloria, Cesar.

During the operation, the uniformed officers managed to move two abandoned vehicles, according to Lieutenant Colonel Rodrigo Manrique Gómezchief of the Cesar Police Department in charge.

The fuel was analyzed using a spectrophotometer device in which a signal of 10.2% is obtained. This test confirmed that the recovered diesel did not comply with the limits established by Epetrol-Cenit.

The case was left to the Attorney General’s Office, for the crime of obtaining hydrocarbons, according to Article 327-C of law 1028 of 2006.

This work reinforces institutional efforts to combat theft and illegal trade of hydrocarbons in the country.
