Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Simultaneous regional head elections (Pilkada) were held for the first time in Indonesia today, Wednesday (27/11/2024).
The 2024 regional elections will simultaneously be held in 545 regions covering 37 provinces, 415 provinces and 93 cities.
1,556 pairs of regional head candidates at different levels of government will participate in the 2024 regional elections. Pilkada participants consist of: 103 pairs of candidates for deputy governor in 37 provinces, 1,168 pairs of candidates for governor and deputy governor in 415 districts, 284 pairs of candidates for mayor and deputy mayor in 93 cities.
Data from the General Election Commission (KPU) records that the permanent voter list for Pilkada 2024 is registered at 203,657,354 voters, consisting of 101,645,993 men and 102,011,361 women.
Regional elections for governor were also held in DKI Jakarta Region. Three pairs of candidates (paslon) for gubernatorial (cagub) and deputy governor (cawagub) candidates are competing in the DKI Jakarta Division, namely candidate pair number 1 Ridwan Kamil-Suswono, candidate pair number 2 Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana, and pair of candidates number 3 namely Pramono Anung-Rano Karno.
Data quick count in four monitoring centers as of Wednesday (27/11/2024) at 23:22 WIB, the average was 100%. The Pramono-Rano candidate pair is still in the lead with an average vote pick of 50%. Meanwhile, the Ridwan-Suswono candidate pair is in second place with an average vote of 39%, while the Dharma-Kun candidate pair has an average of 10%.
