A British tourist has been pronounced dead after collapsing while diving. The teacher who was with the tourist was also investigated.
Reporting from The SunWednesday (27/11/2024) the 25-year-old British man dived in Vouliagmeni, south of Athens on Saturday afternoon.
Attica Beach near Athens is famous for its beautiful beaches with clear water full of content and wrecks that are popular with divers. Water temperatures remain above 20C from late May to late November and visibility underwater is said to be excellent most of the time.

In the coast guard’s report, it was said that this man had fainted while diving with an instructor from a private company.
The British man was picked up by an EKAV ambulance and taken to a nearby hospital. However, he was declared dead.
The Port Authority, which conducted a preliminary investigation, arrested the 46-year-old diving instructor and his 37-year-old assistant for allegedly violating Article 302 of the Criminal Code.
Their diving equipment was also confiscated for inspection. An autopsy was ordered to be performed at the Forensic & Toxicology Laboratory of the Athens Medical School.
