Bolsonaro denied the PF text. According to the far-right politician, the word coup was never in the dictionary.
«We are going to get this story out of our heads at once, no one is going to carry out a coup with reserve generals and more than half a dozen officers. What they are saying is absurd. For my part, there was never a sudden discussion,” he certified.
He argued that a “coup d’état has to have the participation of all the Armed Forces, if it is not a coup d’état.” “Nobody carries out a coup d’état on a Sunday, in Brasilia…”, he said.
The police document accuses Bolsonaro and 36 other people of crimes of violent abolition of the Democratic State of Law, coup d’état and criminal organization.
The Attorney General’s Office received the final report of the PF from the Supreme Federal Court (STF) and could now file the case, file charges or request further investigations.
If a complaint arises, Minister Alexander de Moraes, of the STF, may accept the accusation and there will be criminal action.
