CANCUN, Q. ROO.- This Thursday Week 13 of the NFL begins with the traditional tripleheader for Thanksgiving Day, where the Lions will try to confirm their position as candidates to win the National Conference, when they receive to the Bears, in a divisional game. While the Cowboys and Giants struggle to stay afloat. While Miami and Green Bay aspire to playoff spots.
Detroit has nine straight wins, the best active streak this season and a record of 10 games won to one lost. They are leaders of the NFC North Division and are poised to qualify for the postseason.
They also have the second best offense, with 394.3 yards per game this year. Although Aidan Hutchinson’s injury affected the defense, the team has averaged 15.3 points against since his absence.
Their rival this Thanksgiving is the Bears, who are in last place in the North in the NFC, with a 4-7 record and have five consecutive losses. Chicago has lost against its direct division rivals, the Packers and Vikings, so it will have to surprise the Lions.
The second game of Week 13 will be between the Cowboys (4-7) who will try to add their second consecutive victory, when they face the Giants (2-9). New York cut Daniel Jones, their starting quarterback, last week and are saddled with six consecutive losses.
Thanksgiving Day will close with the game between the 5-6 Dolphins and the 8-3 Packers. Both beat their respective rivals last week and need to improve their results if they want to reach the playoffs.
Green Bay is in third place in the North in the NFC, while Miami is second in the AFC East Division.
