Her husband Dieter Orendorz is also an ice hockey player.
Rebecca Orendorz started playing ice hockey at the age of five in the junior section of the Iserlohner EC.[1] Until 2013, she played there primarily with male peers, including in the student and youth leagues. At the same time, she played for the EC Bergkamener Bären in the women’s ice hockey Bundesliga from 2006 and won the DEB Cup with them in 2007. Before the 2021/22 season she moved to Allgäu and then played for ESC Planegg. She ended her career in 2022.

During the 2007/08 season, Graeve was nominated for the U18 national team for the first time and took part with them in the U18 Women’s World Championships in 2009, 2010 and 2011. She made her debut for the German women’s national team during the 2009/10 season and was a permanent member of the national team squad from 2010.
Her first Women’s World Cup was the 2012 World Cup. She then didn’t make the World Cup squad for two years before taking part in the 2015 World Cup.[4] At the end of the tournament, Graeve and the national team were relegated to Division IA, from which they were promoted back to the top division a year later.
Graeve made further appearances at the 2017, 2019 and 2021 World Cups as well as the 2017 and 2021 Olympic qualifying tournaments. With over 150 international matches, she is one of the record players in the German women’s national team.
