The Pukyong National University student team of Min-ki Kim (3rd year majoring in Control and Measurement Engineering), Gyeong-min Yoo (2nd year majoring in Computer Engineering), Soobin Hwang (2nd year majoring in Environmental Engineering), Hyojeong Choi (3rd year majoring in Environmental Engineering), and Hyemin Lee (2nd year majoring in International Business Administration) participated this time. At the competition, they received the grand prize for ‘Andamiro, a watercraft control robot for golden time response to oil spills.’
The Pukyong National University student team, which received the grand prize, received an excellent evaluation for presenting an idea to reduce secondary damage by quickly and effectively responding to an oil spill accident within the golden time with a watercraft-based oil fence discharge robot.
This competition, held at Hanbat National University on November 21, was held in 7 national universities including Pukyong National University, Kunsan National University, Kumoh National University of Technology, Seoul National University of Science and Technology, Changwon National University, Korea National University of Transportation, and Hanbat National University to revitalize start-up clubs and create start-up communities. This is a jointly held event for expansion.
Seven universities across the country selected two teams each through their own preliminary rounds, and a total of 14 teams competed in the finals on this day.
Following the grand prize, the Pukyong National University student joint team of Minyoung Jeong (2nd year majoring in Business Administration at Pukyong National University), Minseo Kim (2nd year majoring in IT Convergence at Gyeongsang National University), and Sanghyeop Lee (3rd year majoring in IT Convergence at Ulsan National University) won the ‘GPS-based mobile game to solve the problem of regional disappearance; ‘Korean Magazine’ also received an encouragement award from this competition.
Ryu Ji-yeol, head of the National Pukyong National University LINC 3.0 Project Group, said, “We will use this as an opportunity to form not only industry-university cooperation but also a network of start-up clubs through shared collaboration with K7U-Belt, an association of national small and medium-sized universities across the country, and will further expand support to revitalize excellent start-ups in connection with local governments. “I plan to do it,” he said.
