Jakarta –
MPR Deputy Chairman Eddy Soeparno said Regional elections 2024 run smoothly. Eddy said that this was proof that the people were becoming more mature in democracy.
Eddy Soeparno went directly to investigate the implementation of the Regional Elections at the same time in the district of Loji, West Bogor. Eddy believes that the simultaneous regional elections will run smoothly, from voting to counting and the publication of the results later.
“We are grateful because the atmosphere is constructive, we hope that the number of political participation will also be good. Again, we are grateful because there was no horizontal conflict based on identity that occurred in society at the regional elections at the same time,” Eddy said in his written statement, Wednesday (27/11/2024).

Eddy said that the General Election and Pilkada in Indonesia is one of the most complex general election systems in the world. Therefore, according to him, the smooth running of the 2024 regional elections is proof of maturity in democracy.
The Deputy Head of PAN ensured that all levels of the leadership of the MPR RI would monitor the overall implementation of the regional elections at the same time until the results are announced.
“Elections and Pilkada in Indonesia is one of the most complex general election systems in the world, including 37 provinces and 508 districts/cities and 203 million voters,” said Eddy.
“If today the series of simultaneous regional elections run smoothly, it will really prove the maturity of the Indonesian people in democracy, in making choices for their region in the future ,” he said.
