GAS | Rasmus Niklasson Petrovic is ready for GAIS

The left winger, whose roots are in Sävedalens IF, moved with his family to Uppsala and played three years in the IK Sirius academy before becoming a senior player in Dalkurd and then Oskarshamn’s AIK in Ettan Södra . But now he is returning home to Gothenburg!

How does it feel to come to GAIS?

– It feels like a lot of fun. Yeah, I’ve known about it for a while now so it’s been great doing it and stuff. Today is the first day I’m here and I’m meeting the boys and the leaders and so on. So it feels good.

What made you believe it would be GAIS?

– It’s a nice association! Family run with good facilities, it’s a big club in Sweden. So it attracts, and it’s really good and a lot of people, it’s always fun to play in front of a lot of people.

What position can we expect to see you in?

– I play mostly on the left wing, but I can play all three positions up there.

And then there is the step from Etan to the Allsvenskan, how do you feel you should deal with it?

– It feels good to be able to do it. It’s still something big and something I’ve dreamed of for a long time, to play in the Allsvenskan. Then it’s good to come to GAIS because they work like that, and it feels very safe and I feel a sense of trust from everyone, so it should be fun . So it feels like a good challenge.

What are you most looking forward to now?

– I am looking forward to going out and playing at Gamla Ullevi and it will be great fun in front of all the supporters. It’s probably the thing I’m looking forward to the most, so it feels good.
