Adoor: The autopsy revealed that the 17-year-old girl who died while being treated for fever was five months pregnant. The police registered a case under the POCSO Act.

The discovery was made at the Alappuzha Medical College Hospital. In addition two students died. He first sought treatment for fever at a private clinic. Later he sought treatment at the General Hospital. He was then shifted to Alappuzha Medical College Hospital for specialized treatment. The six-year-old girl died receiving treatment on Monday.
