Embraer completed the implementation of programa ONEChainan integrated digital tool designed to optimize your supply chain. The initiative comes against a backdrop of global challenges in the industry, which have affected aircraft production and delivery, particularly due to shortages of engines and key structural components.
ONEChain seeks to simplify and digitize supply chain processes, improving transparency, agility and collaboration with suppliers. According to Embraer, this platform will reduce costs, standardize processes and increase productivity.
“With the integration of all operations on a single platform, it is now possible to manage our supply chain in real time,” he highlighted. Roberto Chaves, executive vice president of Global Purchasing and Supply Chain at Embraer. “This helps us face current challenges, such as engine availability, ensuring more uniform production and agile decisions.”
The aerospace industry faces global disruptions, and Embraer is no exception. The shortage of engines, especially Pratt & Whitney PW1000Ghas impacted the production of its family of aircraft E-Jet E2. These difficulties have led Embraer to reduce its commercial delivery forecast for 2024, adjusting it from 80 to 73 units.
