One of the Noveltiesdie Frosted Games for 2025 announced in German „Leviathan Wilds“ – a game that is thematically very reminiscent of the video game “Shadow of the Colossus”. And this news should make some people happy, because “Leviathan Wilds” is very popular, as the TOP 10 list that we put together in August shows. That’s where the game ranked Platz 3.
Except that “Leviathan Wilds” Next year should appear, but unfortunately there is no more detailed information yet.
That’s what the game is about
“Leviathan Wilds” is a cooperative game for 1-4 people. And the fact that it is reminiscent of “Shadow of the Colossus” or even “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” is no coincidence. Because the game is supposed to Climbing mechanics from these games capture and good timing and endurance management require. You climb giant creatures driven to frenzy by strange, malevolent crystals. And it is precisely these crystals that you want to destroy in order to make the giants peaceful again.
In the ring binder, the creatures are presented with double-page illustrations. You move over the creature along fixed climbing points. This is done using cards. Whenever you play through your deck, you are at risk of falling. The creature itself also poses a danger.
Frosted Games is currently planning one Pre-order promotion im Spring 2025. Both the retail version and the additional material from the Kickstarter campaign should be available there.
