Actor Jung Woo-sung made model Moon Ga-bi pregnant. Although he stated through his agency that he will do his best to raise the child, he has not revealed his position directly.
On November 22, Gabi Moon posted a photo taken with her child on her personal account and said, “I was not prepared for the news that came so suddenly. Instead of enjoying the joy or celebration to the fullest, I spent most of the pregnancy quietly with the blessings of my family. “The reason I chose to send it was solely for the sake of my unborn child, because I thought I had to keep it hidden in order to protect something that was always precious to me.”
The identity of Moon Ga-bi’s biological father was revealed through a Dispatch report on the 24th. According to the report, Jung Woo-sung met Gabi Moon in 2022 and became close with Gabi Moon, then found out that Gabi Moon was pregnant in June of last year. The age difference between the two is 16 years. Jung Woo-sung was born in 1973, and Moon Gabi was born in 1989.
From the time Jung Woo-sung became aware of Moon Ga-bi’s pregnancy, she underwent a paternity test and gave birth in March of this year, and until the moment Moon Ga-bi directly announced her pregnancy to the world in November, he kept this fact completely secret from the outside world.
Even after media reports, he has remained silent, only providing a brief statement through his agency, Artist Company. On the 24th, the agency said, “The child that Moon Ga-bi revealed through SNS is Jung Woo-sung’s biological child. We are discussing the best way to raise the child, and as a father, I will do my best for the child.”
This attitude is quite different from the time of his public relationship and breakup with actress Lee Ji-ah 13 years ago. Jung Woo-sung dated Lee Ji-ah, who co-starred in the SBS drama ‘Athena: Goddess of War’, which ended in February 2011. In March 2011, after the drama ended, she was spotted enjoying a date in Paris, France, and on behalf of Lee Ji-ah, who had remained silent, she spoke out through her official fan cafe.
At the time, Jung Woo-sung acknowledged his romantic relationship, saying, “I have a new friend that I like, and we are in the stage of having fun together after the drama ends.” In media interviews, he honestly expressed his affectionate feelings for Lee Ji-ah.
However, after acknowledging their relationship, it became known that Lee Ji-ah was the legal wife of singer Seo Tai-ji and that she filed a divorce suit against singer Seo Tai-ji in January 2011, demanding 500 million won in alimony and 5 billion won in property division. In the aftermath of this, Jung Woo-sung and Lee Ji-ah ended their public relationship after about three months.
Afterwards, Jung Woo-sung said on MBC’s ‘Golden Fishery – Knee-Drop Guru’, which aired in November 2012, “That friend (Lee Ji-ah) told me about the secret marriage before the news broke, and also talked about the other person during a trip to Paris,” and “I don’t care.” I thought about saying something for this friend, but I thought that if I said anything, it would only lead to more news because the people who had to end the relationship would be busy. “I thought about it,” he said. Jung Woo-sung’s attitude of being considerate of the other person in a situation that would have been confusing to him also aroused support from numerous viewers.
After 13 years, Jung Woo-sung, who once again shocked many people with his unconventional love story, is paying attention to when and what kind of stance he will make regarding his first child and his biological mother.
