[カイロ ２３日 ロイター] – The Palestinian Authority announced on the 23rd that at least 120 Palestinians were killed in the past 48 hours by Israeli airstrikes throughout the Palestinian territory of Gaza. Israeli forces also attacked a hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, injuring medical staff and destroying medical equipment.
According to the Palestinian Authority, seven members of a family were killed in an attack on a house in Zeitoun, a suburb of Gaza City. The rest were killed in attacks in central and southern Gaza.
A spokesman for the Islamic group Hamas said that an Israeli woman belonging to Hamas was killed in a northern area attacked by Israeli forces, and he blamed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
An Israeli military spokesman said Hamas’ news that the hostage had died was “unconfirmed or denied at this time” and that an investigation was ongoing.
Kamal Adwan Hospital is one of three medical facilities in the northern Gaza Strip believed to have been attacked. The Israeli military said it was “not aware of any attacks near the hospital” and stressed it was working to avoid harming civilians.
