Five stages, 739 km and 14,700 meters of altitude difference: this will be the Tour of the Alps 2025presented in Riva del Garda (21-25 April). We will start from Trentino, from San Lorenzo Dorsino. The second stage will start from Mezzolombardo before giving way to Alto Adige with two new and exciting goals in Vipiteno-Racines and San Candido, under the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, in the town that gave birth to Jannik Sinner. The last two days will be in East Tyrol. After the key stage from Sillian to Obertilliach, it will once again be Lienz – as in 2022, when the Frenchman Romain Bardet won – to award the forty-eighth edition of the former Giro del Trentino, a race that has become increasingly bigger and more beautiful with the its short and lively routes and almost zero transfers.

Lappartient also at the presentation
The presentation brought together all the main authorities and all the most important world organizers who will participate in the AIOCC annual assembly tomorrow – again on the northern shore of Lake Garda – with the organizational coordination of the Tour of the Alps. Never before had the organizers’ congress taken place in Italy. The event attracted the highest leaders of world cycling: the President of the UCI David Lappartient, the President of the UEC Enrico Della Casa, the President of AIOCC Christian Prudhomme (Director of the Tour de France) as well as the President of the Italian Cycling Federation Cordiano Dagnoni , the President of the Austrian Cycling Federation Harald Mayer and numerous other authorities, including the organizers of all the most important world cycling events. “Every year this prestigious competition continues to grow” declared David Lappartient, “consolidating its ideal position in the cycling calendar. The presence of top riders is a fundamental element that testifies to the importance of this stage race. The collaboration between the Italian and Austrian federations, which unites two extraordinary regions, represents a rare and precious model: few competitions in the world can boast such synergy between two countries. We are also happy to be in Trentino for this presentation and for the AIOCC assembly: a land full of passion for cycling, road and MTB, which has put forward its candidacy for the 2031 world championships. Congratulations for the work done, and I wish this event a future of ever greater success.”
