A free mobile plan for Orange box customers is an early Christmas gift!
But that’s not all! Orange suggests its additional 1 GB option which is available on request. Usable in mainland France and in the Europe, DOM, Switzerland/Andorra zone, the mobile data supplement can be activated from “Recommended options” during the subscription stage.
For information, the 2h 100MB package (+ 1 additional GB) offered free of charge by Orange is valid for a period of six months. Beyond the free period, the package in question which is without commitment will increase to the monthly price of 5.99 euros unless it is canceled.
If you follow telecoms news in France at all, you have certainly noticed that Orange’s 1st price package is reminiscent of that of Free Mobile. Indeed, since September 2022, the Free Mobile plan at 2 euros (or 0 euros for Freebox customers) allows you to activate the Booster option. This option offers the possibility of having unlimited calls and 1 GB of mobile data.
Could Orange’s “free” mobile plan ultimately lead to increased costs for consumers through hidden fees or limitations that encourage them to upgrade to more expensive plans?
